been the site of two Hollywood 's motion films? Back in 2005, the
movie THE DEPARTED

locations around Boston. The Departed starred Leonardo DiCaprio,
Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone,
Vera Farmiga and Alec Baldwin. During the filming, many scenes were shot
in south Boston and the 344 played its part by hosting much of the
cast and equipment for the movie crews duration of filming. One major
scene was filmed in the back lot of the 344 with use of 11 Farnsworth
building (then under renovation) as the setting for a police shootout.
The abutting alley way between Farnsworth and Thomson place (adjacent to
the rear of our building) was another favorite spot. The movie was a big hit during its release in 2006.
