Responded: A-10

Alrm/Box: ‎ - Mike Tognarelli and Mary Boucher responded with A-10 to the 2nd in Melrose at 0030. The fire was in an apartment in the Julian Steele House, an elderly housing facility on Nason Drive. The fire resulted in the evacuation of 100+ senior citizens. The Melrose fire inspector "cited the cause to be careless disposal of smoking material." In addition, the resident of the apartment was on an oxygen tank.
